Housekeeping: Our 13-Digit ISBNs
If you search other sites for our books using each book's unique book number, the "ISBN," you may want to note the following changes.
The publishing industry is transitioning to a 13-digit ISBN standard, so that each book will have its own 13-digit number rather than the previous 10-digit standard.
All ISBN-13s will be prefixed with 978; also, most ISBN-13s will have a new final digit (the "check digit").
