CLARENCE G. FELDMANN was a consultant to government
and industry, specializing in enterprise engineering
and structure methods. With more than forty years of
experience in the computer field, he served on the IDEFU
Users Group Steering Committee for many years, and was
vice chairman of the Board of Directors of the International
Society for Enterprise Engineering (ISEE).
He began his career while a graduate student at MIT,
working with Douglas T. Ross on pioneering applications
of computers in manufacturing. Later, as a co-founder
with Ross of SofTech, Inc., he participated in the development
of SADT (Structured Analysis and Design Technique),
a subset of which was adopted by the department of defense
as IDEFO. Based in Winchester, Massachusetts, he authored
dozens of papers and articles on systems development
methods.
