The late Dr. PERRY GLUCKMAN was President and founder
of Process Plus, Inc., a network of statisticians and
management advisors that guides companies in implementing
quality improvement programs.
Dr. Gluckman received his Ph.D. in statistics from
Stanford University. He held post-doctoral fellowships
at the National Assessment of Educational Progress in
Princeton, New Jersey and Denver, Colorado, and at the
Center for Advanced Study in the Behavorial Sciences
in Palo Alto, California.l
In 1974, Dr. Gluckman began implementing Dr. W. Edwards
Deming's philosophy at Lawrence Livermore Laboratories.
In 1979, at the urging of Dr. Deming, he founded his
own consulting business. A Deming authority, and published
author of numerous quality and productivity articles,
Dr. Gluckman died of cancer on January 28, 1992.
