JONAH Z. LAVI, the lead developer of ECSAM, received
his
Ph.D. in the Engineering of Computer-Based Systems at
the Systems Research Center at Case Institute of Technology
(now Case Western Reserve University) in Cleveland,
Ohio in 1965. Since then, he has been practicing and
teaching engineering of computer-based systems (ECBS).
For fifteen years, through 1993, Dr. Lavi was the corporate
manager of R&D of embedded computer systems directorate
at the Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI). He also founded
and chaired the ECBS Technical Committee of IEEE Society.
In 1995 he was honored with the outstanding contribution
award of the IEEE Computer Society in recognition of
his activites for the promotion of ECBS.
He chaired the Working Group on Education and Training
of the IEEE Computer Society ECBS Technical Committee,
preparing Master and Bachelor degrees Curricla and industrial
training programs in ECBS and currently consults and
teaches industrial and university courses in the modeling
and requirements specification of CBS.
