Pat Medvick was a software engineer with Los Alamos
National Laboratory for fifteen years and president
of Coyote Software for two years. She recently joined
the staff at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
Prior to obtaining her M.S. in Computer Science, she
utilized her B.S. in Biology and Ph.D. in Oceanography
as an environmental biologist. Since 1985, she has worked
on automation for the Human Genome project, database
design for the GenBank project, magnetoencephalography
data analysis, software improvement of an automated
system for pharmaceutical high-throughput screening,
and numerous simulation projects. With her experience
as an application developer, software designer, and
project lead, Pat has the abilities to jell software
teams and to guide software process improvement in a
research and development environment.
